About Jeff Lisson
I practice law in San Angelo,
Texas, with the firm of Carter, Boyd & Lisson, P.C. My practice emphasizes
civil litigation. Our firm is three lawyers, five staff. My
partners are both CPAs and experts in tax law. We also do corporate
work, estate planning, probate and real estate.
Originally from Texas, I
received my B.A. from Austin College in Sherman, Texas, in 1985, and my J.D.
from Wake Forest University in 1992. Before going to law school, I
worked as a newspaper reporter, including in San Angelo, where I met my
wife, Kathy. After 10 years of a successful solo trial and appellate
practice in Winston-Salem, NC, we returned home to the San Angelo, Texas,
area in 2002. Kathy and I have three wonderful daughters.
My legal technology articles
have been published extensively, and I have spoken at national, regional,
and local attorney gatherings. I am on the council of the State Bar of
Texas Computer & Technology Section, a director of the Tom Green County Bar
Association, and serve as a member of the District 15 Grievance Committee of
the State Bar of Texas. I volunteer for, and serve on
the boards of, many community and charitable organizations, including the
Water Valley school board (vice president); the Concho Valley Community Action Agency (secretary);
Adult Literacy Council (chairman); and Lil' Lizards Youth Running
Program. |
