Election Results.  Congratulations to Craig Demere, Brian Marschall, Lara White and Ricki Gochenauer, who won (or kept) school board seats.  While I would have liked to continue on the school board, I'm confident the district is in good hands.  I appreciate all those who voted for me and supported me while I was on the board.

Tax Ratification Defeat.  The tax ratification election failed.  That means WVISD will have find some way to cut nearly 10% from this year's budget.  That likely means people will lose jobs and programs will be cut.  It's truly disappointing to me that Water Valley climbed to the pinnacle of academic success, earning an exemplary rating from the State, but now will have to sacrifice that achievement.  Hopefully, the administration can find ways to preserve what makes Water Valley great, while working with the funds the voters have agreed to provide.
